Software Defined Radio.

So I’m a bit of a computer nerd/technology lover so SDR is right up my alley. It’s basically a piece of hardware that goes from an antenna of some sort to a PC. The PC then takes the RF signals picked up over the air on the antenna and does whatever you want with them based on your setup. You can do everything from listen to FM/AM radio to tracking airplanes. My introduction to this AWESOME world was an attempt to listen to the police scanners in my area more reliably. Well I cant even begin to tell you the size of the snowball this has created for me.
